Who We Are

The Selah Center had its beginning, with the Lord’s initiative, in the mind of Christie Russell, our first Executive Director, who spent several years working through the necessary steps to make its opening a reality. With a burden for the women in Lake Country who found themselves in an unplanned pregnancy, or enduring heartache from abortion, or the struggle of raising a child as a single parent, the then Board of Directors; Christie Russell, Kimberly Bright, & Dr. John Bohannon, worked hard to provide a place where women & men could come to find hope during their crisis.
